RAVI TANEJA has loved and practiced theatre for over thirty years. He spent his childhood watching theatre troupes perform in his neighborhood area in Delhi. The visiting troupes left an indelible mark on Ravi. He was so much in love with Drama that he proposed to stage a play in his school for the Independence Day Celebration when he was only 12. Soon he realized that he was in love with the Art. Things got-serious in college days when he and his friends decided to join theatre group and they were introduced to Dr. C.D. Sidhu, a well known play Wright and theatre expert. Since then there has been no looking back. Today he has directed more than thirty original plays in Urdu, English, Hindi and Punjabi and has played major roles in several plays. He has won several prizes for his acting and direction. Till date the group has staged more than 700 shows. “Ravi Taneja, apart from having directed more than 30 plays in Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi and English, is a sensitive actor who has over the years created a place for himself on the Delhi stage” – Says well known theatre person and drama critic Mr. Romesh Chander in The Hindu. He has written and directed children’s plays as well and has organized various workshops with several schools in Delhi such as DPS, Salwan, Mount Carmel, Maharaja Agrasen, Lilawati Vidya Mandir to name just a few. Till date he has organized various workshops with several schools and has directed more than 500 children. He has also staged Multi Media shows called “Teachings of Jesus Christ” and “Azadi De Tarane”

Konark, Half-way house, Adhe Adhure, Bhagat Singh Shaheed (Trilogy), Azadi De Taranay (A Multi Media show on Indian Freedom Struggle), Maha Balidan (Multi Media show based on Bible) (English) Mast Meghowalia (Urdu), Baba Bantoo, Kal College Band Rahega, Bhajno and many more.
The Cultural Department of the Government of India, Sahitya Kala Parishad and Punjabi Academy have called Ravi for several performances of his theatre Creations. He is also the General Secretary of Bhartiya Natya Sangh at present, which is the Indian centre of ITI, UNESCO.
Born in 1980, Hemant Raipuria has his 18 years of Experience in Acting and Direction. He began his Theatre career in 1998, and in his journey,He directed 12 Short Films, 20 Stage plays, written and directed 15 Short Plays & 22 Street Plays, most famous of which are Romeo and Juliet, Waiting for Godot, Ek aur Dronacharya, Kitabein Karti hain baatein, Kyu mai chahu beti, Doctor-Doctor and Bhuvnehwar dar bhuvneshwar.
He acted in one TV Serial for Doordarshan, four Short Films, One TV Ad. and one Feature Film “DEV D” by Anurag Kashyap too. His magical voice also benefitted Radio Drama for BBC and Prasar Bharti, Radio Ads for JK Tyre, Nycil Herbal, Mahindra Tractors.
He performed Central Characters and Important roles in 24 Plays among which most famous are, Karan in “All my Sons”, Mahatma Gandhi in “Gandhi” and “Itihaas”, Roopaji in “Jasma Odan”, Banwari in “Three Men in a Boat”, Vladimir and Pozzo in “Waiting for Godot”.
In his theatre career he was blessed and finely trained by the eminent theatre directors from National School of Drama, Bharatendu Natya Academy, and Dptt. of Indian Theatre, especially, Rajesh Bali, Bapi Bose and Hema Singh.
And now he is giving all his learnings to the actors of Chhaon Theatre Group, Teachers of MCD schools, DIET trainees and students of Mira Model School and Queen’s Valley school. He has a vast experience in teaching in theatre and conducing workshops as he conducted theatre workshops in more than 18 institutions.
“Theatre is a Life to me, I cannot live without that” are his words and now he is passionately working for enhancing the reach of theatre art to public to have a better theatre culture in the country.

He is also a good writer and designer. His creative scripts and creative design ideas are benefitting our Theatre arena for long.
He had worked as a Radio Jockey for one year in Ghaziabad’s Community Radio. And now he is teaching in theatre in Katha Lab School, Govindpuri and ‘Fit n Twist’ institute, Krishna Nagar.
His passion for theatre brought him to Chhaon theatre group in 2012. There he proved his extra-ordinary talent in Acting and designing and came out as a gem for the group. However he had got many opportunities for plays outside, but his commitment to the group was so strong that he did not go.
“I love Theater because whenever I read or write, it gives me a beautiful visual and an urge to live that life and its only Theater art which gives me that opportunity and to explore myself and my creative thinking” say Yogii.
